Questions to ask of potential sign vendors:

Is the company licensed to work in this town?
Does the company carry adequate insurance - be sure and request a certificate.
Does the design adhere to local regulations?
What kind of warranty period do they offer? ( J&S provides a full year from date of installation)
Does the quote include installation?
Does it include connection to power?
Does the quote include a controlling mechanism (time clock, or photocell?)

CHANNEL LETTERS
Are the height of the letters similar?
Are the letter styles similar? ( Are they block, italics , serif)?
Neon - how many lines within each letter?
The width of the letter determines how much neon should be used. Sign industry guidelines are one stroke of neon for every 4" of letter width. Too little neon means dim or shadowed sign letters.

SIGN CABINETS
Are the cabinets the same size?
Faces - flat or pan formed, lexan or acrylic, vinyl or painted?

FREE STANDING SIGNS
Are the signs similar in size, height, and design?
Does the quote include an appropriate foundation?
Does the quote include running power to the sign?
If not, can the company install power?
How much landscaping will be disturbed?
Will they remove and properly dispose of all spoils from the site?
